Nanette Marcus at iMedia Connection wrote a post about Dairy Queen connecting with Bloggers for free ice cream. Many clients are looking for ways to use Bloggers to talk about their brands on their behalf. These same clients don't want to spend a lot of money so they are looking for exclusive offers or deals to provide people that participate in the program.
The "Sweet Deal" is described like this:
I like the idea of this promotion because it targets
prosumers, the producing consumers to use their own creative skills
to come up with a deal that Dairy Queen might enjoy. These prosumers will start the conversation and hopefully create stimulus that will be shared.
I'm still not sure what deal I would make to get ice cream for a year but maybe I'll recruit my daughter to make the deal for me. I think she will be good at negotiation!
