Leading up to the PSFK+22squared Good Ideas in Advocacy event here in Tampa, FL I will be profiling one of the four speakers that we invited. This week I am profiling Chris Perkins, president of Blitz Media.
I met Chris in 2000 when we both worked at Publicis & Hal Riney in San Francisco. Chris hired me to work on Hewlett-Packard global advertising and then he left to take a executive partnership role at Fahlgren stationed right here in Tampa for a few years. Long time Tampa advertiser and USF professor Hal Vincent told me that Chris Perkins is the reason that he moved to Tampa in the first place.
Chris is a 20+ year veteran of venerable agencies like Hal Riney & Partners, O&M and Arnold where he managed brands like Chrysler, Jeep, OSU Medical Center, NAPA Auto Parts, Florida Tourism, Shell Oil, RadioShack, Jack Daniel’s, Babies R Us, HP, Unilever and McDonald’s in a career that has taken him across the U.S. and all the way to Poland.
I'm really excited to have Chris speak at this event. We will ask him questions about engaging advocates through media. Questions will include reach vs. relevance, roles of paid, earned and owned media and examples of work that he has been a part of.
Please join us November 5th at the 22squared offices to see Chris and others inspire the Tampa Bay marketing and advertising community (Only $25).
At 22squared we believe that "when advocates talk, brands grow."
