A nice presentation by Frog Design on the future of play, a keynote at the 2010 MIT Sandbox Summit. Elements of play are important to think about as you design things that you want to be propagated.
A great presentation from Heather LeFevre about what she has learned in her transition from an Account Planner at agencies like CP+B to Digital Planning at Tribal DDB in Amsterdam.
This is a great presentation by Heidi Hackemer and Seth Weisfeld of BBH that was presented at a VCU conference.
My conference spies report that Heidi proclaimed, "Either be SUPER useful, or SUPER emotional. The in between stuff gets ignored." This is a statement that all planners should take to heart.
I noticed this article in Mashable last week and started thinking what other forms of compatibility might an app like this help with.
This particular app called Boink by MEDL Mobile helps people determine if they are compatible sex partners with each other. You fill out your preferences before going to the club, then using Bump technology the two prospects can determine if they are right "in bed" for each other.
I also liked how they are giving it away for free for the first two weeks which sets an exclusive stage (very important in propagation) which creates a sense of urgency before the deal runs out.
I think other compatibility things might include Job Interviews (style of work), Financial Advisors (style of investment), Hair Stylists (what you find appealing) or even Doctors (beliefs in vaccinations for kids under 5).
Can you think of any others? Please feel free to leave a comment if you have an idea.
