This is a shout-out to Social Forces. They are a start-up agency in Tampa Bay that I really like because they find strong partners like Sally Hogshead and do things smart and efficiently. I'm sorry that I missed the party but it was nice to be a part of the big paper airplane!

Carl and Kate have been with me since I started the Propagation Planning Blog and have allowed me to speak at many events in Tampa, which gave me a reason to write presentations on the subject. I was not the most confident speaker but overtime I got better. 

I think they would say that I helped them with questions about running a start up agency... but the truth is, they helped me more.

Brand Advocate Value Calculator

Cara Fuggetta, a marketing manager at Zuberance was very nice to send me a white paper that Zuberance wrote back in July on the worth of a Brand Advocate. You can download the white paper here: Download White Paper.

I really enjoyed reading the document and found the Brand Advocate Value Calculator to be extremely interesting to me. This type of math helps validate my prediction that brand managers will either be replaced or managed by community managers, the people who have the pulse on the brand advocates and bring that thinking into business decision making.

Planning-ness 2010 - Brooklyn

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days, we have been very busy the last few weeks. I wanted to share some good news with my readers. On September 30th and October 1st I will be speaking at Planning-ness 2010 in Brooklyn. I believe Planning-ness was created because of the decline in value that agencies got by sending people to the Account Planning Conference. This conference is focused on cultivating skills of strategic planners and making things happen.
