Sorry I haven't posted in a few days, we have been very busy the last few weeks. I wanted to share some good news with my readers. On September 30th and October 1st I will be speaking at Planning-ness 2010 in Brooklyn. I believe Planning-ness was created because of the decline in value that agencies got by sending people to the Account Planning Conference. This conference is focused on cultivating skills of strategic planners and making things happen.
This is the description of my workshop:
How to do propagation planning
Griffin Farkey, BBH/Zag
40+ years ago account planning was developed to inspire consumer-centric creative. 10+ years ago connection planning was developed to lead to more insightful and effective media engagement. Today propagation planning is used to think about the new target audience everyone is talking about: those that see your message through word of mouth/ social media. This workshop will challenge the way we think about communication planning, challenge the way we think about brand management, challenge the definition and measurement of media, challenge how we inspire creative teams, and demonstrate the type of ideas that are truly spreadable.
I hope you can come out and see me speak! You can purchase tickets here: http://planningness.com/buy-tickets/
